We have steady work and an immediate need for writers for a variety of clients and industries. We're very picky, so please only apply if you meet the following requirements:
• You have experience as a writer. You don't need to have a journalism degree, but you need to be able to take a relatively "ho-hum" topic and turn it into something that others would be interested in.
• You must know how to research online. Many of our clients require a bit of research for each story, with the information hyperlinked and from high-ranking sites. If you're spending too long looking up information, then you will struggle with this job.
• You must know how to come up with interesting topics, regardless of the subject matter. For example, if you're writing a story about POS systems, then a story about "What Is a POS System" would be rejected. Know your audience!
• You must be able to meet deadlines and follow all directives. If you've read this far, then put in the subject line, "You Won't Regret Hiring Me!" when applying for this job. Following directives is vitally important and can make the difference between a happy client or one who drops us. So if you don't fill in the subject line as instructed above, then it doesn't bode well for your ability to follow future directives.
• You must be able to communicate via phone, email and, preferably, Skype.
• You must know AP Style.
• American-English speaking writers only. The pay for these projects is typically $1 per 100 words, or $8 for an 800 word story. However, our best writers can typically crank out grammatically clean, compelling content at a rate of two to three stories per hour. Therefore, it's a scalability issue. If you know the tips and tricks for writing quality AND quantity, then you'll do well in this job. We are a growing content marketing firm. If you know what content marketing is, then you're already ahead of the game.
